There’s no depth of characterization in the story. Secondly, why are the only defining characteristics of the heroine that she’s hot, she likes cars, likes the color red, has a Celine Dion lyric tattoo, and counts cards? Was her blueprint derived from the musings of a horny 14 year old boy? I’m not saying those can’t be reasonable characteristics of a woman, but there needs to be more there. First and foremost, how does a man who has spent the vast majority of his life not believing in long-lasting love suddenly do an about face in two days? Does does the heroine have a magical lady garden? Did she spike his mimosa with a love potion? I know it’s not because of her sparkling personality.
My opinion on the book became progressively more negative for a few reasons. I hate insta-love, so this book had a strike on its record from the beginning.
